The Marigola golf course, designed in 1978 by the architects Marmori and Bellò, is a small jewel a few meters from the sea enveloped in an unreal peace where you can enjoy a family atmosphere. The course is undulating, on nine holes, modulated by typical Ligurian terraces that dominate the Gulf of Poets. With a panoramic view from many starting tees, in particular holes two and three from which you can admire, in its beauty, the Lerici gulf dominated by the imposing castle that seems to emerge from the sea. Surrounded by centuries-old olive trees and Mediterranean vegetation, the holes are often obtained in narrow corridors that require extreme precision from the golfer; even the English greens make the game enjoyable and at the same time stimulating.
HOLES:
Hole 1
PAR 3
Men's Tee: m. 107
Women's Tee: m. 107
Handicap: 9
Medium difficulty hole with two bunkers defending a particularly delicate green due to the steep slope.
Hole 2
PAR 3
Men's Tee: m. 125
Women's Tee: m. 125
Handicap: 11
Starting tee with a wonderful view of the Gulf of Lerici. Challenging tee shot because it is mandatory to fly the underlying hole 1.
Hole 3
PAR 3
Men's Tee: m. 73
Women's Tee: m. 73
Handicap: 17
Starting tee from above with breathtaking views of the Castle and the old village of Lerici. It is the easiest hole on the course, defended by a rather deep bunker that should be avoided.
Hole 4
PAR 3
Men's Tee: m. 143
Women's Tee: m. 126
Handicap: 5
Medium length for a hole made treacherous by two bunkers that defend the green in the front.
Hole 5
PAR 3
Men's Tee: m. 116
Women's Tee: m. 97
Handicap: 7
Delicate hole with out of bounds on the right and left for almost its entire length. It requires precision in the tee shot.
Hole 6
PAR 3
Men's Tee: m. 205
Women's Tee: m. 205
Handicap: 1
The longest hole on the course. The out of bounds on the right side turns into a water hazard towards the end.
Hole 7
PAR 3
Men's Tee: m. 60
Women's Tee: m. 60
Handicap: 13
Considered an easy hole, it is treacherous due to the out of bounds on both sides and the bunker in defense of the small green.
Hole 8
PAR 3
Men's Tee: m. 77
Women's Tee: m. 77
Handicap: 15
Short and choreographic hole. The difficulty is represented by the frontal water obstacle, a small lake inhabited by swans and mallards.
Hole 9
PAR 3
Men's Tee: m. 130
Women's Tee: m. 108
Handicap: 3
The second most difficult hole of the course, slightly uphill with a slight dogleg on the right and tall trees to fly to reach the longest green of the entire course.
